The clients asked for an alteration and refurbishment of an existing rooftop conversion in their terrace house from the 1920’s.

Inspired by the efficient handling of space in the social housing schemes of the adjacent Hufeisensiedlung (1925-1933), the design strategy aimed to deal with the program as space-efficent as possible in order  to maximize the ambience of the central attic space.
